Previous: The New Network Calculator
Following the development of the new Network Calculator, which includes
transit line and transit segment computations, module 2.43 "Plot Network
Scattergrams" was also enhanced. Besides the already available node
and link scattergrams, it includes now also the possibilities to generate
and manipulate transit line and transit segment scattergrams. These
new types of scattergrams offer the same options and features that we
are used to from the node and link scattergrams:
- Unrestricted choice for the variables on X and Y axis, including
access to all "inherited" attributes, and the use of the
alternate types of addressing, such as accessing j-node, reverse link,
vehicle and next segment attributes.
- Interactive query and marking of elements, either by clicking on single
elements or by use of the powerful polygon inclusion/&exclusion feature.
- Computation and display of a linear regression of the selected data.
- Optional color, symbol and size index variables allow precise control of
the visual appearance of each data point.
In the following example, the Network Calculator was used to compute
the variables US1, US2 and US3 in such a way that the resulting scattergram
displays load profiles of a set of transit lines.
For more details on the use of scattergrams refer to section IV-2.43
of the User's Manual.
